This is our character Guus:
During her introductory class, her dorm burned down and she was horrified, until as her teacher explained with open arms:
"It is an undoing dormatory"
and the dorm rebuilt itself. Her teacher then explained that the dorm could rebuild itself because it was temporarily constructed, it's own nature permitted it while natural time did not. This is because time must be recorded as it is and can then be reattained.
Thus the house had been designed to fix itself in previous settings if it caught fire, but the technology was difficult to explain as it did not yet exist ( but was not as revolutionary as imagined as...
Guus soon found out that time travel at a basic level within 0 time space is quite simple, one must first simple understand teleportation and can then use this teleportation skill to travel across time given the teleport match up.
Thus she learned about teleportation and was surprised about how common it was without notice, however it was the art of finding similar areas in ones closer range to areas elsewhere in the world and thus one could travel through time by simply arriving at a similar zone in time.
This was demonstrated with several rooms designed by variety of time and object, such that each area reflected a basic time "zone" of the time period they traveled to. The teacher then explained that these were available for students to use.
But similar areas existed in nature across many parts of the world.
Now she learned that to modify time beyond time travel, one had to rely on coincidence or total reality modification, meaning she either had to hope she properly effected a time period and had an effect or she had to work within an entire group to alter the entire past towards that new end that only they could perceive.
The interesting thing Guus learned was that the ability to time travel was known for a very long time as it can be argued that certain historic reenactments are time travel, but that it is used to its complete potential as their are several risks involved.
She also learned that one can backtrack time by studying cause and effect in reverse, by making lists of what occurred previously and rediscovering previous events through this extensive means of backtrack ( although it can sometimes split into multiple times )
Thus she had learned the three basic keys of time travel:
- Time Views are located across the world and can be effected coincedentally
- Objects can be modified in altered time through reconstruction and modification
- You can backtrack time by finding what occurred before an event and then study it
However, as she set out for bed after her first day, did she notice a strange man sweeping in the dorm and wondered what that was about and why she thought him weird. None the less, Guus went to bed hoping the next day would be even more interesting.
